It means having that little voice deep within you question whether what you do is right or wrong (aka your conscience) and being able to think through things before doing them. Being human means looking back on what we've done and reflecting on how to make things better. It means taking action and wanting to do your part. It means being able to feel and express what you have within you. But most importantly it means to think. As Rene Descartes once said, "I think, therefore I am." Being a human means being able to think, and process what we think. It means applying logic and reasoning to the thinking process and being able to contribute ideas to help improve the world around us.

Being human enables us to have certain unique characterstics. We can feel many different types of emotion. We know we must seize every oppurtunity we get. As humans we have goals, and have the ability to make decisions, and know the consequences to those decisions. Finally, we have the chance to choose to be either a unique indivdual, or and ordinary member of society.
