Virtual Dog
If there are people out there who would like a dog but without the hassle of taking it for a walk or cleaning up sh*t then here’s a solution: a virtual dog. It looks like there’s a real dog in your house but actually it’s virtual. It was made by Obscura Digital who were also responsible for the HD video tunnel at the Symantec vision conference 2006 (bonus video). Watch the virtual dog video.

that video tunnel makes me think of the movie Tron... and also vomiting.

OMG, it would be awesome if they made a virtual cat. Then I could watch it virtually sleep all day.

Perhaps it's also interesting for (older) people whose dog has died to make them feel like the dog is alive again... Yes, it sounds a bit creepy too but compare it to stuffing your dead animal (which some people do)...
