Scientists Extract Images Directly From Brain

Scientists Extract Images Directly From Brain

Last month I posted a video about a blind woman that could see again thanks to the use of a bionic eye. Amazing. This video is just as amazing. Here you see how someone gets presented an image and next to it you see the image that is extracted directly from the brain.

@Simon B: With the progress in today's technology I'm not sure anymore what to believe. You don't buy it?

The eye thing I believe, but this, no, I don't. But maybe my brain just needs expanding!?
Not that I don't beleve it could happen one day. It's just that at certain parts of the video here the original image and the generated image seem 'too' identical, and seem to hint at some form of pixelating filter being used in the making of the video to trick people into believing it. But I may well be wrong!

@Simon B: ;-)) An open mind is a good thing.

@all: Anyone else who knows the full story behind this video?

The URL to the study is below. I guess it's possible it's a fake but I don't think it is. It is really not anything that amazing. The MRI just scans signals from the eye ball. I think it's the fact it's a brain scan that gets people. If it was a scan of the arm of signals sent from the hand, I think people would be less amazed.
