India Innovates - Foot Pedal Washing Machine
Here’s a Discovery Channel clip of a foot pedal washing machine from India. Simple yet effective. No electricity is needed and it still seems to get the job done. Watch the video.

Well, that's very ingenious, that washing machine can save big efforts and I also noticed the functioning principle is also based on rotative moves, like on modern appliances. Many indian people still can't afford a washing machine, perhaps it's time for the big manufacturers like Maytag parts to introduce specific mechanical products so these people can enjoy the modern world technology.
