Increase Creativity By Slowing Down
Fast food, speed dating, power naps… Modern life is stuck on fast-forward to such an extent that “even instant gratification takes too long.” Journalist Carl Honore tells us in a 19 minute presentation about slowing down. By slowing down your productivity and creativity increases and you feel better too.

hmm he's quite right i guess. though it's a lot easier to slow down in your privat life but much harder to slow down at work. I totally agree on the fact that you'll get a better result by looking at a problem from all sides but the main problem is, that you simply don't have the time... but nonetheless, I'll definitely give it a try (after reading his book of course :) btw thanks martijn for posting this

@Robert: Slowing down in work is also possible. I used to get up, eat breakfast, get behind the computer and stop when it was lunchtime (and then start again after lunch ;-) ). Now I added moments just to slow down. Read a bit on the sofa at the beginning of the day, have a cup of tea, going for a walk... During these moments your mind gets a break too and suddenly you come up with a solution without even focusing on the problem. Starting out with small steps is the key to slowing down successfully I think. btw you're welcome :-)
