Controversial The Da Vinci Code Ad

Tomorrow is D-day: the worldwide premičre of Dan Brown’s The Da Vinci Code at the Cannes Festival. An event that won’t pass by unnoticed. Canvas, one of the leading Belgian TV channels is programming a couple of documentaries on the numerous elements in the film that led to some fierce reactions from the Vatican.

To announce these documentaries, Duval Guillaume Brussels created an ad, illustrating in a humorous way one of the most talked about issues: the question whether Jesus was married to Mary Magdalene.

In the meantime, the ad itself created some controversy: the spokesman of the Belgian Bishops stated today he “doesn’t see the humor in the ads”.
