Carcade - Augmented Reality In-Car Videogame
Carcade is a concept for an in-car videogame for the passengers, which captures the landscape and uses it as a videogame environment. Existing objects, for example trees and architecture, are recognized by the camera and enhanced by videogame assets.

Eyepet - The Virtual Pet That’s Pretty Real
If you have a PlayStation 3 and an EyeToy then soon you will be able to play with your virtual pet: the EyePet. Some of the things that are possible with this pet can be seen in the video. Cool.

Public Gaming With Your Mobile
You see a huge display in a public area which invites you to swtich on the Bluetooth connection on your mobile so you can start playing Snake against others that happen to be in the same area. All of a sudden the people standing next to you are your competitors. I think this is only a first step of what’s to come. Nevertheless, a pretty cool first step.

Since It’s Friday - Pee To Ski
Two Belgian guys turned a mobile toilet into a mobile gaming area. One of the games is Pee To Ski. Though peeing while gaming is not a new concept, the mobility of the whole installation is new to me. Have a good weekend!

Sexiest Soccer Table Ever
Dutch agency GRO design made the best looking soccer table ever. “We were interested in creating atmosphere through form, colour, material and subtle use of light, bringing a heightened sense of drama and excitement to the game.” Well, they succeeded. Watch the video to see it in action.

Wii Fit - Exergaming
In about 6 weeks the new Wii Fit exercise game will be available in Holland. I am seriously thinking of buying it. Wii Fit is designed to function with the Wii Balance Board peripheral and it combines exercising and gaming: exergaming. Wii Fit was released in Japan on December 1, 2007 and sold over a quarter of a million copies in its first week.

Multi-Touch Rubik’s Cube
World’s first cubic multi-touch touchscreen games platform. In this video clip the Fentix Cube has been programmed to emulate a Rubik’s cube puzzle. Check out Andrew Fentem’s website for more electronic art.

Jabberstamp - Kids Add Sound To Their Drawings
Jabberstamp allows children to synthesize their drawings and voices. To use Jabberstamp, children create drawings, collages or paintings on normal paper. They press a special rubber stamp onto the page to record sounds into their drawings. When children touch the marks of the stamp with a small trumpet, they can hear the sounds playback, retelling the stories they have created.
