On The Streets With Bruce Gilden
Hunting for characters on the streets of New York City with photographer Bruce Gilden. I wouldn’t like to be photographed by a stranger from such a close range but the outcomes are great. “A lot of people walking in the city are like lost in thought. They’re not paying attention.”

Earth Hour 2008
Earth Hour uses the simple action of turning off the lights for one hour to deliver a powerful message about the need for action on global warming. At 8pm on the 29 March, 2008 millions of people in some of the world’s major capital cities, including Copenhagen, Toronto, Chicago, Melbourne, Brisbane, Tel Aviv and Manila will unite and switch off for Earth Hour.

Is Anonymity A Right?
On Sunday March 9, a panel came together at the interactive festival SXSW to discuss ‘Sexual Privacy Online’. One of the interesting questions that popped up was: Do you have the right to be anonymous? I think that’s hard to achieve. In some online environments you want to be anonymous, in others it is necessary that you identify yourself. What do you think about all this?

Fiat 500 vs Mini

Wired Science Visits Maker Faire
Wired Science has a nice video tour of last year’s Maker Faire in Austin. It features a hacked Toyota Prius which can run more than 100 miles per gallon. It also shows children creating their own rockets, a Tesla coil that can make music and a shiny Buddha.
