Bodies In Urban Spaces
Here’s a video in which people make their bodies integrate with urban spaces. It reminded me of the street installations by Mark Jenkins who sometimes uses human shapes in urban surroundings. The person in the video tells us that the ‘performances’ are invitations for people to take a moment to contemplate.

Public Gaming With Your Mobile
You see a huge display in a public area which invites you to swtich on the Bluetooth connection on your mobile so you can start playing Snake against others that happen to be in the same area. All of a sudden the people standing next to you are your competitors. I think this is only a first step of what’s to come. Nevertheless, a pretty cool first step.

Biggest Drawing In The World
How do you make the biggest drawing in the world? With GPS. Nokia did it by using a Nokia N82. With its GPS capabilities a guy named Stavros was able to create to biggest work of art in the whole history. So he claims. But DHL took it a step further and used their GPS tracking service to create the actual biggest drawing. It took 55 days of traveling to make it.
Update:
The DHL version is a hoax.
Thanks to Kai for this crucial bit of information. ;-)

On The Streets With Bruce Gilden
Hunting for characters on the streets of New York City with photographer Bruce Gilden. I wouldn’t like to be photographed by a stranger from such a close range but the outcomes are great. “A lot of people walking in the city are like lost in thought. They’re not paying attention.”
